Who Is Sojourn & Why Do We Exist?

 

OUr MISSION

We exist to share the hope and light of the Gospel by cultivating a community that follows Jesus.

To see wanderers in Floyd become followers of Jesus.

OUr CORE IDENTITIES

We are God’s image-bearers (Genesis 1:27)—which means we can only truly know ourselves by first knowing God. Our core identities help us to remember who we are in light of who God is.

WORSHIPERS

Because God is God, we are Worshipers — being loved by & loving God.

FAMILY

Because God is Father, we are Family — loving & being loved by one another.

AMBASSADORS

Because God is King, we are Ambassadors— love overflowing to our neighbors.

How Do You Get Involved?

 

Sunday Gatherings

Sunday worship at Sojourn is just that: worship. We gather to sing, pray, give, and proclaim as families together. And it really is a family gathering — unfussy, loving, and open.

Our weekly worship gathering is usually 90 minutes — more like a sit-down meal than fast food. And the tone is casual. We encourage you to come as you are!

Our Children's Ministry, Sojourn Kids, takes place during the gathering and serves children ages 2 - 5 years old. Sojourn Kids provides age-appropriate, Gospel-centered lessons and activities to re-orient the hearts of our "little worshippers." If you would prefer, you are welcome to keep your kids in service as well.

Community Groups

You are designed for life together. Our groups gather throughout the county to study God’s Word, pray, fellowship, and live out God’s mission—putting belief into practice as families in community.
