“SOMETHING NEW FOR CHRISTMAS” (Non-series)

Christmas Sunday, December 28th, 2025

“ANNA”

Sunday, December 21st, 2025

Discussion Questions:

  1. In what ways was Anna living expectantly? How might that have been hard for her? How is it hard for us, as we also await the coming of the Lord?

  2. Consider Anna’s worship life: fasting, praying, and serving? Which of these are you doing? Which of these are you lacking? What can you commit to, in this next season of life, that will increase devotion?

  3. How do gratitude and evangelism go together? How can you share the truth of Christ through a testimony of thanksgiving? Who, in your life, might be most ready to hear your story—and how can you start the conversation?

“HEROD”

Sunday, December 14th, 2025

“SIMEON”

Sunday, December 7th, 2025

Discussion Questions:

  1. What does it mean to live a life that is righteous, devout, and looking forward to God’s consolation? When have you seen these traits in another believer? Where do you have room to grow—and how can you stay faithful for a lifetime?

  2. What is the evidence that Simeon trusted the Holy Spirit? How might that be harder to do the longer you live? What is the evidence that you are trusting the Holy Spirit in your own life?

  3. What makes the truth of the Gospel—the truth of Jesus for us—amazing? Why does the way we believe, hold, and proclaim it matter? How does your own testimony of Christ reflect His “amazingness” in the world?

“ZECHARIAH & ELIZABETH”

Sunday, November 30th, 2025

Discussion Questions:

  1. How does the Good News of God’s salvation invite our submission? What are we supposed to do, when God calls us by His grace?

  2. Why is a joy-filled believer (and a joy-filled church) significant in God’s kingdom? Describe the differences you have seen—in churches, and in individuals—regarding joyfulness and joylessness? How does joy communicate the Gospel?

  3. What did Zechariah learn—and sing—about salvation? (See vv. 68-79.) How does his ministry, and how does the ministry of his son John, inform our own calling to tell others?
